Vanaways brought colleagues together yesterday for its Half Year Company Wide Meeting, reflecting on an outstanding first half of the year and aligning on priorities for the months ahead. The event marked a key moment in the company calendar, bringing the whole business together to celebrate progress, share updates, and reinforce the direction for H2 and beyond.

The meeting also marked Cedric’s first day in his new role as Sales Director, where he led the session and set the tone with a clear message of pride in what has been achieved so far, alongside a strong focus on what comes next.

A record breaking first half built on teamwork

The first six months of the year have been record breaking across the business, with exceptional performance in sales, profit, and customer growth. Targets have not only been achieved but consistently exceeded, with the business ahead of plan every single month. This sustained performance reflects the strength of execution across all areas of Vanaways and the continued demand from customers.

Customer numbers have grown significantly, with more customers served than ever before, while delivery volumes continue to climb as the business scales. At the same time, Vanaways is outperforming the wider market and gaining share against competitors, demonstrating the strength of its proposition and the consistency of its delivery.

Crucially, this success has been driven collectively. Every team across the business has played a part, from sales, marketing and operations through to finance, customer support, and technology. Cedric highlighted that the results achieved are a direct reflection of the effort, expertise, and commitment shown by colleagues across every department, reinforcing that success at Vanaways is always a team achievement.

Growth across people, systems, and capability

Alongside commercial performance, the meeting highlighted continued investment in the future of the business. Headcount has grown across multiple teams, supported by a number of internal promotions that recognise talent and reward contribution. This ongoing development of people ensures the business continues to strengthen from within while scaling effectively to meet demand.

Technology has also played a key role in the first half of the year, with enhanced systems and ongoing innovation from the tech team helping to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and support a better overall customer experience. These improvements continue to provide a strong foundation for future growth as the business expands.

Celebrating success across the business

A key moment of the day was the recognition of excellence, with awards presented to one standout individual from each department. These awards highlighted the impact individuals have made over the first half of the year and celebrated the dedication, consistency, and high standards shown across the business.

To close the day, Vanaways enjoyed a delicious lunch in the sunshine provided by Bristol-based streetfood LJ HUGS, offering a relaxed opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate achievements across the business.

With a record breaking first half behind it, Vanaways now turns its attention to the opportunities ahead, focused on continued growth, strong execution, and delivering another successful half year.

"First time using Vansaway! I was in a bit of a panic as my van broke down and I was unable to fix it. My van is my livihood, so I looked into leasing and contract. I wish I done it sooner. I spoke to Jonathan as my first point of contact. I couldn't have got any luckier having him as my support. He was absolutely fantastic, he went above and beyond to help me. He was easy to contact and would always reply when I had any concerns or questions. His knowledge on all vehicles was impeccable, which made things easier. He listened to what I wanted and needed and explained everything thoroughly help me making the right choice in plan and kept in touch throughout the entire process! He knew I was in desperate need of a van and he did not disappoint and kept his word and I was able to get my new van delivered as soon as possible. Enjoying the drive. Its great about the perks involved in having a contract hire as well! Thank you so much for everything! Highly recommend, vans are just not how they use to be, so its great to have a brand new van along with the support of any engine faults things like that.
