Fiat opens up 2022 with the announcement of the new Fiat Scudo. Known as a great small van that straddles the divide between the compact and heavy sectors, the new Fiat Scudo has been given some improved features to make it the best in its class.
Orders are now open for the 2022 Fiat Scudo, so here’s what you can expect.
Electric or diesel
The Scudo’s new LCV is now based on the Stellantis mid-van platform which is available with a 100% electric powertrain alongside four diesel units. The new E-Scudo is perfect for those working in the city or inner suburbs due to receiving a best-in-class range of up to 205 miles. This means you’ll have a fully electric vehicle, without compromise.
The zero-emissions model offers unique flexibility with two battery sizes – 50 and 75 kWh, and allows you to charge the more capacious battery to 80% in as little as 45 minutes.
Car-like driving
Fiat has worked on increasing the comfort in the 2022 Fiat Scudo to provide a stress-free experience through a car-like driving position and sound-proofing to minimise jolts and vibrations. Some new features include a head-up display to deliver key information without distraction and four independent wheel suspensions to ensure comfort in any driving condition.
14 ADAS features
The new Fiat Scudo provides the ultimate driving experience with 14 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems features to increase safety. These include:
- Automatic road sign recognition
- Automatic emergency braking
- Lane departure warning
- Blind spot alert

Configuration and powertrain
You can choose from three different configurations, Van, Crew Cab and Cab with platform. There are also three trim levels, SX, Tecnico and Business, as well as four diesel powertrains on top of the electric powertrain. Along with the electric version, equipped with a 100kW electric motor, the four diesel powertrains include:
- 1.5l with either 100hp or 120hp and 6-speed transmission
- 2.0l 145hp unit combined with an 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic
- 2.0l engine with 180hp paired with the efficient 8-speed automatic transmission
The 2022 Fiat Scudo is considered an all-around commercial vehicle, providing smart solutions while keeping its compact size. The Scudo has a 1.9m height which allows for easy access for storage units and combined with a length of 4m, you’ll have the freedom to travel or park anywhere. The van has a load volume of 5.3m3 or 6.1m3 depending on the wheelbase, only helping to broaden its capabilities.
